Author Biography: Dr. Cheresh is a Distinguished Professor and Vice Chairman of Pathology at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine and the Associate Director for Translational Research at the Moores UCSD Cancer Center. Dr. Cheresh is a leading authority in identifying key pathways and mediators of pathologic angiogenesis in tumors and has led efforts to develop new collaborations and programs in clinical and basic science with an emphasis on translational medicine. Dr. Cheresh serves as Associate Editor for several major scientific journals and is on the advisory board of several others.
